How EUFINCONDUCT sources and presents its records

How EUFINCONDUCT sources, verifies and presents its records: named primary sources, corroboration, status on file, the right of reply, and the register's rules on naming individuals.

Sources

Every entry in the register summarises material already published by a named primary source: a court judgment or order, a prosecutor's statement, a regulator's enforcement or inspection decision, or an established news organisation. Each entry carries a link to that source so a reader can verify the record against the original.

Corroboration

An entry is only included where the underlying conduct can be traced to a named public source or to documentary material held on the register's file. Nothing is inferred from the existence of a case, an inspection or a licence withdrawal alone. Where a matter is pending, under appeal, or where no authority has made findings, the entry says so.

Status on file

Each entry records the status on file as at the date it was last checked: a conviction or sanction where one has been recorded, a charge or proceeding where one is open, or an open disclosure where no authority has yet ruled. The status date is shown so a reader can see how current the record is.

Naming individuals

Individuals appear only in their publicly disclosed professional capacities, and only where a named public source or filed document records their role. The register does not generate or simulate any likeness: a monogram tile is shown where no licensed photograph is held. Naming a person here is for identification and screening purposes and does not assert that any finding has been made against them. Readers should read the legal notice before drawing conclusions.

Corrections and right of reply

Any person or institution named in the register may request a correction or the publication of a reply through the contact page, or through the corrections log. Requests are actioned on receipt, and substantiated corrections are reflected in the register and recorded in the corrections log.

Update cadence

The register is updated as supervisory decisions, judgments and documented disclosures are published. Headline pages are checked on an ongoing basis; reference and legal pages are reviewed periodically. Record dates, not page-render times, drive the sitemap.
